Summer is almost here in the prairies – which is something that I think we can all get behind. Except for those winter sports enthusiasts in the back there, you lot can simmer down please. We’ve just released the first new beer of the summer – Bruxelles, a traditional Belgian Witbier.
A Belgian-style wheat beer with hints of coriander. Light and refreshing, with or without a slice of orange.
Named after the small community in rural Manitoba started by Belgian immigrants in 1892. The parish was so named because its first priest, Father Gustave Willems, came from the capital of Belgium. We believe that the capital of Belgium is also called Bruxelles which is a major coincidence.
It’s available in cans from the taproom and good independent beer stores, and also on draft at the taproom!
In other news…
It’s going to be a busy and fun week at the taproom. Wednesday evening sees the Lord of the Pies foodtruck for pregaming for the Valour FC game. Friday and Saturday see two chill evenings of music from DJ Stop. Saturday is a tribute evening to James Brown, and rumour has it that there will be a new brown ale from Devil May Care! And of course the patio is always open!
