Test Batch – Kölsch

kolsch

Looking for something cool and refreshing to drink after some yard-work – we decided that we needed to try something a little lighter than an IPA. So we’re having a go at a Kölsch. In case you’re not familiar:

A Kölsch is a beer brewed in Cologne with a clear bright, straw-yellow hue similar to a standard German pale lager. Kölsch is warm fermented at around 13 to 21 °C, then conditioned by lagering at cold temperatures

So we’re sticking it in bottles today, and will introduce it to some beer-minded folks at a future date for feedback.
