Stirring the pot a little, and 2 new beers!

How did the Vikings reward cowardice? We’re betting it wasn’t a few beers and peace to watch the Jets game. Well thats just what those “brave” and “brazen” warriors down the road have done – turned turtle and bailed on our tug of war on Sunday.

Actually we postponed it a week due to the Jets having a playoff game that evening but hey taunting them is more fun than the truth. The truth is often a minor inconvenience to a good story.

Instead of a 60 Glasses this weekend, we are introducing our new Belgian Dubbel – St. Bernie on Saturday. Coming in at a nice 6.9 percent with a rich malty flavour of raisins, dates and notes of caramel evocative of tawny port.

On Sunday, we begin pouring our collaboration brew with those tawdry vikings at Brazen Hall. Cleverly called Brazen Angel, it is a hazy dark brown unfiltered blend of Munich Dark and Wheat malts with a bready and chocolate sweetness and a touch of smoke. Part of our new Angels’ Share giving back initiative.

And is other news, we are canning for the first time next week, for inclusion in the Manitoba Brewers Association summer social pack.

And there’s still a few tickets left for the dinner at Smith featuring our beers.
