It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…

What to write… what to write? A thinly disguised version of A Christmas Carol or It’s A Wonderful Life; or a more likely version of Fairytale of New York or Bad Santa; perhaps an earnest heartfelt thank you, but we don’t really do those… being the more querulous types (except James of course, he’s lovely)..

It’s been a little mental around here, getting beers to market in cans in time for Christmas. And then there was the Christmas beer tour. Having been on the other side of the counter for numerous visits from Winnipeg Tasting Tours, it was great to experience how much fun one is. Thanks to Lori for putting up with a tipsy busload of brewers, and to Brazen Hall, Trans Canada, Barn Hammer, Torque, and Half Pints for allowing us to wreck their carefully cultivated ambiance. Highly recommended. And yes, it ended badly.

There’s some subtle changes to the opening hours over Christmas to allow us to spend more time with friends and family; and watching the great Christmas classics like Die Hard. You may notice that we’re open both Eves, despite being Mondays. This is to allow you, dear friends (was that too smarmy), to get your growlers filled and your cans closer to the big days. Speaking of cans, pick up any 12 Stone Angel cans from the taproom and get a free 20oz glass. We’ve added some new merch including a -shirt with our favourite Martin Luther quote.

So all that remains is for us to wish you Nollaig Shona Duit, Merry Christmas, Joyeux Noel, Frohe Weihnachten, Season’s Greetings, Happy Holidays! Wishing you all the best for the season and a healthy and prosperous 2019! Slainte!
