Flights, Happy Hours, and Mountjoy X

Over the last couple of weeks, we’ve been doing examples of what we called “Manitoba Math” at the bar counter. This involves various permutations of small glassware and a plank of wood. Met with various levels of incredulity and laughter, we happily don’t have to do it anymore as we got approved for flights. Yes, the little piece of wood needed official approval. And our flight boards arrived last weekend too – for obvious reasons, we didn’t want them made before the prototype got approved. Thanks Justin for rushing them out, and bringing them in Saturday night!

We have also now introduced a Happy Hour. From 4.30-6.30pm Wednesday through Saturday, all 16oz beers are $5. Also applied on Sundays from 2-6pm. So come on down, and have a post work beer.

Our next new beer, Mountjoy X Stout, will be here next week! A traditional Irish Stout named after the famous and very defunct Mountjoy Brewery belonging to the legendary Dublin grocers chain Findlater’s. Mountjoy itself was named after a Georgian Square in the city which was then still quite fashionable.

Right now, some of our beers are available offsite. Luther’s Folly is on at The Nob, and Tipsy Cow. Redhanded is on at Cafe Carlo, Elevate Eatery, and Rae’s Bistro; and Kaiser Bill is on at Peg Beer Co. More locations will be announced soon.

Taproom hours this weekend:
Friday: 12:00pm – 11.00pm
Saturday: 12:00pm – 11.00pm
Sunday: 2.00pm – 6:00pm
Also, please note that we are closed next Wednesday for a private function.
