We are writing you today to provide information regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, its arrival in Winnipeg, and what we at the Stone Angel Brewing are doing in response.
Sanitisation is an important part of the brewing process – clean tanks make for better beer. And we’re now going the extra mile to to prevent the possible spread of coronavirus. Utilising the same sanizing chemicals that we use on the tanks, we are cleaning all chair and table surfaces on an ongoing basis. We are ensuring that bathrooms, doorhandles, and other surfaces are cleaned and sanitized numerous times throughout the day and throughout events in our taproom.
All glassware is sanitized through our high temperature dishwasher. All flightboards are being cleaned after use, we’re no longer filling external growlers. And we have added extra hand sanitizer dispensers in the lobby at both our entrances.
Like everyone else in the industry, we are closely monitoring communications from the Public Health Agency of Canada and the World Health Organization. And we have advised all our team to follow the basic flu-season guidelines, as recommended by public health agencies, for preventing respiratory illnesses.
As this is a very fluid situation, we will keep you updated. But for the current time, all previously planned events are still going ahead!
