Clean and refreshing sunny blond radler, based on a specifically brewed Pilsner, with a sweet and pleasantly tart blend of citrus juices, including orange and grapefruit.
Named after Georg Hoenisch, an uncle of Christine, who you would know from managing the taproom: “When I lived with my uncle in Germany, he always insisted our afternoon walk or cycle was followed by beer – and that beer could only ever be a radler. That’s how he rolled. He’s quite, quite unwell and this is a small tribute to him. Love you Uncle George.” Since the initial release, Georg sadly passed away but not before he got to see the label design that bears his name.
“The Stone Angel Brewing Co. Onkel Georg Radler is back again for the coming warmer months; it’s medium straw and hazy in colour, and brings grapefruit candy, fresh malt, oat and a slight creamsicle note on the nose. On the light-plus bodied palate the bubbles are soft and restrained, and the malt and slightly sweet grapefruit flavours work well together both in texture and flavour. At a modest three per cent alcohol, this will certainly be a hit on patios and at barbecues.” Ben MacPhee-Sigurdson, Winnipeg Free Press
