We coldsteeped some fine coffee beans from a local roastery to bring out the coffee flavour without the bitterness leaving a smooth coffee taste and aroma.
“Dark brown in colour and with a tan head, this stout brings rich coffee notes aromatically, but think a cup of coffee with cream in it rather than, say, a more bitter espresso. (Also in there on the nose are lovely roasted malt and modest cocoa notes.) Those creamy coffee and roasted-malt notes are quite tasty on the medium-bodied, chewy palate, bringing rich and balanced flavours without too much sweetness before a smooth finish.
