What? You don’t have your tickets? Last chance saloon but some are still available! It’s an event from the Manitoba Brewers Association, and almost all the breweries are attending, many with new beers and casks. It will be a great event for the beer enthusiast, the casual beer fan, and those of us who just like a fun time with beer.
The event is taking place in our car park so there will be no parking to the rear, so we suggest parking on any of the lots around us. Or taking your bike! Or electing to take Winnipeg Transit – seems one of our wannabe-mayors believes that we transit riders are forced to do so. So take a bus, and stick it to a politician!
We’re pouring samples of a new beer that we made for the event – a Nürnberg style rotbier or red beer! Named ‘Roter Hase’, ie Red Hare, its a reference to the famous Albrecht Dürer image of a hare. Dürer as you undoubtedly remember was a citizen of Nürnberg! And if you didn’t know that, now you do.
Unable to go to Prost!? Fear not, the taproom will be open as normal and the new beer will be available on draft inside once the Oktoberfest event opens.
