Opening the taproom!

We had a blast this last weekend! Friday was cold and damp at Brew at the Zoo – Irish Paul should have been right at home but weirdly didn’t stop complaining about it. We were pouring our two new beers – Redhanded Irish Red and Nocturne English Dark Mild as well as Luther’s Folly. Despite the rain, it was great to chat to so many people and receive feedback on the beers. At least the feedback was warm, unlike Irish Paul, miserable sod.

Saturday, we opened for a few hours in the late afternoon – early evening. We were pouring our new beers, as the current batch of Luther was brewed at Brazen Hall, and so is unavailable for us to sell at the taproom.

The taproom will be open this coming Friday at 3.30pm until 11.00pm, and Saturday from Noon to 11.00pm. So if you’re going to the Bomber game and fancy a couple of pregame pints, you know where we are. We have a large carpark to the rear, from which there is also an entrance to the taproom. As we are a brewery rather than a brewpub, only alcohol created onsite can be sold onsite. That mean’s that this weekend, will be two beers only but more to come in later weeks.

Like the other pure taprooms in the city, we will be serving only bagged snacks, not having a kitchen. However we have several neighbouring restaurants which we are recommending – IGI BBQ and Tehran Cafe amongst others. You can also use Skip the Dishes and have food ordered to the taproom.

Hoping to see you this weekend!
